American Dietetic Association Foundation Names New Directors For 2008-2009

CHICAGO – The American Dietetic Association Foundation has named five new members to its Board of Directors for 2008-2009. The entire 13-member board is responsible for strategic planning, policy development and fiscal management for the Chicago-based ADA Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the American Dietetic Association.
The ADA Foundation’s new 2008-2009 directors are:
- Judith L. Dodd, MS, LDN, RD, Gibsonia, Pa., adjunct assistant professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Health & Rehabilitation Sciences and the chair-elect of the ADAF Board.
- Jessie Pavlinac, MS, RD, CSR, LD, Oregon City, Ore., director of clinical nutrition and patient services at Oregon Health & Sciences University and the 2008-09 president-elect of the American Dietetic Association.
- Robert Earl, MPH, RD, LD, Falls Church, Va., senior director of nutrition policy at the Grocery Manufacturers Association.
- Ellyn Elson, RD, Napa, Calif., nutrition consultant.
- Chor San Khoo, PhD, Camden, N.J., vice president for global nutrition and health at Campbell Soup Company.
Current ADA Foundation Board member Susan Calvert Finn, PhD, RD, FADA, Columbus, Ohio, will chair the Foundation’s board for 2008-2009. Finn is chair of the American Council for Fitness and Nutrition and the retired director of nutrition and communications at the Ross Products Division of Abbott Laboratories. She served as the 1992-1993 president of the American Dietetic Association.
