Anyone is welcome to suggest an idea for an article or to submit a draft for consideration. Detailed instructions, story guidelines and the ADA Times editorial policy will help you find the most effective way to craft your message.

To submit copy, attach a Word document to an e-mail to adatimes@eatright.org. The subject line of the e-mail message should read:

Subject: Letter to Editor

Anyone may submit letters to the editor of ADA Times. ADA Times has no obligation to publish submitted letters. Works will not be published if they are libelous, unintelligible or irrelevant. ADA Times may shorten any letter regardless of length. Relevance will be determined with respect to interest of a particular issue on a local, national, or world level, extension of existing issues on the ADA Times pages or role in fostering spirited and intelligent discussion. Publication of letters to the editor at the sole discretion of ADA Times.

Subject: Upcoming Event

Events are listed at the discretion of ADA Times with consideration to space and relevance. The following information is included in an upcoming event:         

  • Name of event
  • Organization
  • Date
  • Location (city/state)
  • Web address for more information

Subject: Article submission

With a circulation of more than 68,000 ADA members, ADA Times is as universally appealing as ADA's membership base is diverse. When pitching or writing a story for ADA Times, consider the Editorial Policy and Guidelines.

Word count

Letters to the editor: Up to 400 words in length.

Feature Stories: 800 to 1200 words in length.

Updates and Announcements: 150 to 500 words in length.
