Issue Impacting the Profession
Health disparities, I requested that this issue become a mega issue in the HOD. I have lead a teleconference discussion group on the issue. I am currently preparing a topic identification proposal to generate more research in the area.
How have you promoted ADA's mission/vision/values?
By serving in the House of Delegate for three years, chairing Community Nutrition DPG and sharing ADA's mission to a staff of 300+ and the citizens of Alabama.
In assessing your skills, which ones do you think best prepare you to be an ADA leader and why?
I am a person who initiates dialogue on difficult subjects and issues in order to bring forth positive change.
